DESCRIPTION:

The SBC-8433 is a PICMG Single Board Computer capable of supporting Pentium III™ or Celeron™ processors up to 1.0GHz, with the VIA ProSavage™ PL 133 chipset. The SBC-8433 features dual Ethernet capability, an on board PC/104+ interface, along with audio capability and ISA64 High Bus Drive. Supplementing this offering is a video interface utilizing up to 32MB of shared SDRAM, with the capability of supporting SXGA resolutions making the SBC-8433 suited for most applications.

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS:

PROCESSOR SUPPORT
Supports Intel® Pentium III™ FcPGA and Celeron™ FcPGA CPU’s, up to 1.0GHz (Socket 370) with FSB clock cycles @ 133MHz / 100MHz / 66MHz.

CHIPSET
The VIA® ProSavageTM PL 133 combines the performance of the VT8604 “Northbridge” (which provides support for Pentium IIITM / CeleronTM (FcPGA) processors, a 133MHz system bus, and PC133 SDRAM memory as well as a Savage4® graphics core with integrated AGP 4x support) and VT82C686B “Southbridge” (which supports ISA bus, EIDE ATA 100, and USB functionality). Together provide PCI host interface bus support.

HOST BUS INTERFACE
PCI Bus supports 32-bit transfers @ 33MHz and legacy ISA bus supporting 16-bit transfers @ 8.3MHz via PICMG backplane.

FLASH BIOS
AWARD® version 6.0 has built-in advanced CMOS setup for system parameters,
peripheral management, PCI-to-PCI bridge support and PCI steering. Supports flash devices for BIOS via EIDE interface or Ethernet. BIOS upgrades are available from the MIS web site.

L-2 CACHE
Integrated via CPU. Contact your local representative or MIS for available cache sizes when specifying CPU.

DRAM MEMORY
Up to 1.5GB of SDRAM in three 168-pin DIMM sockets (supports PC133 / PC100 / PC66)

EIDE ULTRA ATA-100 INTERFACES (DUAL)
PCI Enhanced IDE with Ultra DMA 100, supports two ports and up to four ATAPI devices. Ultra DMA transfer rates @ 100MB /66MB / 33MB per second via two 40-pin Box headers

WATCHDOG TIMER
128-Level timer (hardware configurable) could be set to automatically detect software anomalies and reset the processor by a predetermined time constant, enabling the system to recover from transient failures.

REAL TIME CLOCK
Incorporated in chipset with 10Years of CMOS backup via lithium battery. Backup includes BIOS setup and BIOS default.
