DESCRIPTION:

The WME-4800 is the third in a series of wall mount, bulkhead mount, benchtop enclosures that have been designed with incrementally more features than the previous iteration. These are listed on this site as the WME-4600, WME-4700 and WME-4800, with more features and options comes the penalty of increased size, each of the models are slightly larger incrementally than the previous. The WME-4800 has the highest capacity with its support for three 3.5" drive devices and one 5.25" device. The WME-4800 supports ISA and PICMG backplanes up to 10 slots in length and uses standard PS/2 form factor power supplies. (PS/2 power supplies are available from 250_W to over 500_W in AT and ATX designs to support the lowest level 386sx compatible boards to the highest performance P4 and XEON SBC processors available in SBC format. The WME-4800 is clearly recognized at the top of the line in this series.
