DESCRIPTION:
The RME-2500 Series of 2U Rack Mount System Enclosure is designed to support Industrial IPC, Passive Backplane / Single Board Computer, (SBC), Based Systems. This highly efficient 2U Rack Chassis series provide space for two 3½" and one 5¼" drive bays and 250 or 300W AT, ATX or ATX-P4 Power Supplies.
When used in conjunction with a CDROM/FLOPPY Combo Drive assembly the hard disk capacity of the RME-2500 is increased by one hard disk to allow for either greater drive capacity or mirrored operations. This makes this Series of Rack Mount Chassis an ideal choice for cost effective workgroup or budget server implementations. This chasssis is suitable for full length and 1/2 length Single Board Computer integrations.
The RME-2500 is the second and final revision of the original design for the RME-2500 Series of 2U SBC / Passive Backplane based, Rack Mountable Server Enclosures. Future RME-2500 Series 2U chassis design efforts will be focused on the RME-2500B Series, as the next generation product.
