DESCRIPTION:
The WME-4800 is the third in a series of wall mount, bulkhead mount, benchtop enclosures that have been designed with incrementally more features than the previous iteration. These are listed on this site as the WME-4600, WME-4700 and WME-4800, with more features and options comes the penalty of increased size, each of the models are slightly larger incrementally than the previous. The WME-4800 has the highest capacity with its support for three 3.5" drive devices and one 5.25" device. The WME-4800 supports ISA and PICMG backplanes up to 10 slots in length and uses standard PS/2 form factor power supplies. (PS/2 power supplies are available from 250W to over 500W in AT and ATX designs to support the lowest level 386sx compatible boards to the highest performance P4 and XEON SBC processors available in SBC format. The WME-4800 is clearly recognized at the top of the line in this series.
