End Of Life / Special Order Status, generally means that the product has either run thru it's normal lifespan or that sales of the product have dropped off to the point that large prodution runs are no longer financially prudent. In the case of End Of life Products the products are usually available in last buy quantities and until stock is depleted. True Special Order class products may be current models that have special characteristics or feature that are not mainstream but can be produced when sufficient orders are aggregated or if a single customer can meet the MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) required to schedule a special production run. Usually it is best to make inquiry as to the current status of products in this catagory.
