DESCRIPTION:
The RME-4100S series 1/2 length enclosure is made here in the USA out of durable lightweight 16ga aluminum alloy material, with a dual layer (inner and outer), front panel construction for extra strength. The lockable door is complete with foam gasket to aid in protecting the drive bays from airborne dust and dirt as well as prying fingers or unauthorized access to drives or removable media.
The RME-4100S series sports three front accessible drive bays and one internal hard disk bay, with the use of the optional CDROM / FLOPPY combo drive you could have five total drive functions supported. Options include Hot Swap AT or ATX power, Single and Multi SBC backplanes up to 14 slots with 10 full length slots available. Standard finish is a Gold Alodine chassis with durable Black textured Powder Coated front panel, optional cosmetic finishes include coating the entire external chassis, excluding the rear panel, with the same Black textured Powder Coating.
If you need a short rack mount chassis especially for mATX or half sized Single Board Computer (SBC) systems this is one of the only enclosures in the world made specifically for this purpose. The RME-4100 also has optional mid mount ears to allow mounting in Telco frames or when doubled with the face panel will allow hanging the entire chassis from the face panel mounts without concern for stress on the front of the enclosure.
